A Historical Note

The origin of the Capital is in Ancient Greece.  Although many styles were developed by the Romans, French, and an assortment of other architectural cultures, all Classic Capitals find their historical roots in three Orders originally developed by the Greeks.  The Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian Orders first began to appear around 500 B.C. in Athens.  It was, however, the Romans who developed the most elaborate and finely detailed versions of these Orders, versions that remain popular in architectural design today.
The Classical Capitals contained in this catalog are primarily of Greek and Roman design.  Our collection is a composite of the most beautifully ornamental styles developed by these two cultures.  All Classical Capitals are crafted out of the finest workmanship available in the modern world.

All our Classic Capitals are available in either round or square design.  In addition, Pilaster versions of each capital are also available.  We are constantly expanding our line of Classic Capital sizes, and will make any size.  We are also able to reproduce the original design of existing capitals for the purpose of restoration.  Please contact us for details.
