Our graceful plain and fluted round colonial and classic stock columns come complete with a high-density polyurethane cap and base. The Classical stock column offers an architectural taper and a classical bead. The overall length of our stock column includes the capital, shaft, base molding, and plinth. The stock columns are manufactured using a kiln-dried, clear, finger-jointed lumber. The staves of our stock columns are manufactured using tongue and groove joints and glued with Type I waterproof glue. After being turned, each shaft is completely sanded. Each individual column must pass strict quality control inspections before it is shipped.
Large Stock Columns

The columns that are 22" in diameter or greater come complete with a fiberglass cap, base, and plinth. All columns 14" in diameter or greater or 14' in length or greater are manufactured to order. Please allow extra time in receiving these columns.

Polyurethane
Capitals and Bases

High-density polyurethane capitals and bases are included with colonial and classical stock columns 6" in diameter to 20" in diameter. The high-density polyurethane capitals and bases are load bearing, rot resistant, waterproof, and impervious to insect infestation. Wooden capitals and bases and aluminum plinths are available upon request.

Redwood or Pine

Our colonial and classical stock columns are available in either finger-jointed clear heart redwood or finger-jointed clear pine. The clear heart redwood columns are naturally resistant to rot and insect infestation. The pine columns are treated with a wood preservative.
